UC Davis Faculty Honored as Excellence in Nutrition Fellows

Three faculty members with the UC Davis Department of Nutrition are being recognized as 2026 Excellence in Nutrition Fellows by American Society for Nutrition (ASN). Associate Professors Lauren Au and Reina Engle-Stone and Department Chair Gerardo Mackenzie are being honored for their contributions to nutrition research, education and practice.

These faculty members join a distinguished cohort of ASN Fellows whose work exemplifies the values of scientific rigor, collaboration, and service to the broader nutrition community. Their selection highlights not only individual achievement, but also the strength of the UC Davis Department of Nutrition where research, mentorship, and real-world impact are to solve complete nutrition challenges and improve human health.
