Several sources of financial support are available for graduate study at Davis: fellowships, graduate employment and financial aid. Teaching assistantships, research assistantships, and financial aid in the form of grants, loans and work-study are also available to qualified graduate students. Individual departments administer teaching assistant and training grant positions. You should contact the professors in the individual departments to apply for teaching or research assistantships. If you are interested in a specific research area, I encourage you to directly contact the faculty member(s) carrying out research in that area or to visit the campus and meet them personally. When questions arise that are not covered by our brochures or publications from Graduate Studies, please feel free to contact us. The Graduate Staff Advisor can be reached at 530-754-7684, ggnb@ucdavis.edu. Professor Sheri Zidenberg-Cherr is the Master Adviser for our group and can be reached at 530-752-3817, sazidenbergcherr@ucdavis.edu. I hope you will give Davis serious consideration as you apply to graduate school.
