The goal of EFNEP is to educate people to improve diets, understand nutrition, be knowledgeable about food safety, and shop wisely. Low- income families and youth are the target audiences for EFNEP nutrition education. Dr. Sutherland provides statewide program leadership and coordination in the determination of nutritional needs among various ethnic and cultural groups in California to be addressed by county-based EFNEP programs. |
