Research Interests
Dr. Joy's research area is community nutrition, with an emphasis on improving the nutritional status of high-risk audiences. Current areas of research are: (a) development and testing of nutrition education methodologies; (b) identification of dietary intake patterns and nutrition-related practices of high-risk audiences; (c) development of new ways to measure nutritional status; and (d) nutrition education interventions for improving nutritional status in high-risk audiences.
