Give to Nutrition

As new scientific discoveries reinforce that nutrition is central to maintaining health and reducing disease risk, this is an exciting time to be a part of the science and application of nutritional knowledge. When you support the UC Davis Nutrition Department through a gift, you are investing in the future for our entire community. Your gift will support innovative research, support student education and training, and improve our outreach efforts that share new knowledge about nutrition and health

Gifts through our online giving forms may be unrestricted for general support or be directed to one of the other specific programs noted below.

  • Nutrition Student Support
Gifts to support students in the Department of Nutrition will provide funding to help maintain the accessibility of education and enhance their university experience. Gifts will support undergraduate students participating in experiential learning such as internships, community-based service learning, and professional development opportunities.
  • Nutrition General Support
Gifts to the Department of Nutrition will support the highest priority activities to meet the teaching, research and outreach objectives of the department.
  • Center for Nutrition in Schools
Gifts to the Center for Nutrition in Schools support the development and distribution of research-based nutrition education programs and resources to K-12 schools in California with the goal of reducing childhood obesity and enhancing academic achievement.
  • Program in International and Community Nutrition
Gifts to the Program in International and Community Nutrition will help us continue to build a truly international community and prepare for a global future, and support all aspects of research and outreach concerning human nutrition problems of low-income countries and ethnic minorities and disadvantaged groups in the United States.

Your gift at any level is greatly appreciated and makes a difference to all of our students and programs. If you are interested in other giving opportunities such as establishing new endowments, student scholarships, programs, or facilities, please contact Shani Alford, Assistant Director of Development, (530)752-1184, sbalford@ucdavis.edu
